2024 | DoIT X TREE | Technology Development Programs Startup Business Promotion Briefing

The 3rd Technology Development Program (TDP) Startup Business Promotion Briefing held in 2024 was attended actively by institute directors. Chiou Chyou-Huey, the Director General of the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT), MOEA, talked about the startup business promotion outcomes achieved over the year. It is expected that there will be 20 spin-off startups established by the end of 2024. 11 institutes and 106 institute directors and representatives participated in the briefing.

With the dedicated promotion of the DoIT, in the past three years, startups in Taiwan have gained a foothold in the domestic market. As linking up with international markets and promoting international startup collaboration brook no delay, Director General Chiou Chyou-Huey also encouraged institutes to actively participate in international linkage and commercial proof of concept projects. Outstanding startup teams will be selected for a three-month program involving training and commercial linkage with local enterprises in Silicon Valley, USA.
