TREE Together with 6 TREE Award-winning Startups and 4 Institute and Academic Technology Development Program Startups Exhibited Profound Innovative Technology at TIE 2023
The TREE Program worked with 10 startups to exhibit in the “Discovering Technology Treasures” section in the Innovation Pilot Pavilion at TIE 2023 that took place during October 12 and 14, 2023. Of the 10 startups, 6 were TREE Award winners. The first prize winner was JANUS from the ITRI Information and Communications Research Laboratories; the second prize winner was DeeGoo from the ITRI Central Region Campus; the third prize winner was PGM-preserve get more from the ITRI Biomedical Technology and Device Research Laboratories; and the three honorable mention award winners were Harvest Defender from the ITRI Central Region Campus, PAT from the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, and The Light from the ITRI Biomedical Technology and Device Research Laboratories. The prizes totaled NT$2.2 million. The TREE Program also collaborated with 4 institute and academic Technology Development Program startups, namely Blade Hydrogen Green Technology and eTreego from the ITRI, Pade Technology from National Taiwan Normal University, and Intelligent Information Security Technology from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University.
During the exhibition, to help the startups gain favor and funds from investors, the TREE Program organized “TREE Startup Pitch Day” on October 12 and invited Mosaic Venture Lab’s Investor and Project Manager Ken Huang, AVA Angels’ Investor and Investment Manager Jeff Chuang, and Pinehurst Advisors’ Investor and Investment Manager Tammy Pan for on-site exchange. The fields of the startups at the exhibition cover block chains, AI, digital medicine, SaaS, green energy, and automobiles. The startups talked with investors after the exhibition to demonstrate their diversity and improve their visibility in order to open up business opportunities. “TREE Startup Pitch Day” was the runner-up for the Best Activity Award for “Discovering Technology Treasures” at TIE 2023.
