Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) 2022 | TREE Startups Demonstrated the Value of Taiwanese Technology Development Program Startups

The Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) 2022 kicked off grandly at Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1 on the 13th of this month. The Taiwan Research-Institute Entrepreneur Ecosystem (TREE) Program demonstrated the innovative R&D capacity of 12 startups in the Innovation Pilot Pavilion. On that day, the TIE organizer held the awarding ceremony for the TIE Award. 3 startups incubated by the TREE Program stood out among top-tier startups from 25 countries and 119 technologies, and took second place and two special awards. Furthermore, to continuously encourage the institute Technology Development Program teams of the DoIT to start their startups and create new opportunities for industries, the MOEA established the “TREE Award” for the first time in 2022, and invited international venture capital companies and industry representatives to serve as jury members. From investment perspectives such as market demand, customer competition analysis, and industrial supply chains, the teams with the highest startup potential were selected. A total of 15 teams with commodifiable technologies from 5 institutes signed up for the award.
